Built for the youngest performers – short, light competitions with no long speeches or written exams, just performance and fun items that a four- to eight-year-old can actually enjoy. A natural starting point for a kindergarten or lower-primary fiesta.

Kids Fiesta is eTalenter’s own starter template for the youngest performers at a fiesta – not modelled on any one named event, but built to be the lightest of eTalenter’s generic starter templates: no long speeches, no written exams, nothing that needs a four- to eight-year-old to read or write at length. It bundles 18 distinct competition items across 21 catalogue rows – the gap comes from three items, Story Telling, Hand Writing and Elocution, each of which carries two rows sharing one title (the row data marks them with separate English-medium and Malayalam-medium images rather than splitting them into their own named items, unlike Action Song and Action Song Mal, which the template gives fully separate titles for the same English/Malayalam split). Every single one of the 18 items runs as an Individual competition, judged mixed-gender (“Both”) and marked out of 100 – no Team item and no rating-out-of-10 item appears anywhere in the template, a more uniform pattern than any other eTalenter starter template published so far, including Literary Festival, which is all-Individual but still scores one item (Quiz) on a separate Points/Score scale.

The item list splits into three natural families rather than the on-stage/off-stage split alone: pageant and presentation items judged on look, poise and characterisation rather than a rehearsed skill (Flower Queen, Vegetable King, Fashion Show, Fancy Dress, Imitating Cartoon Character, Online Smiling); on-stage performance items (Action Song, Action Song Mal, Solo Dance, Folk Dance, Spot Dance, Story Telling, Recitation, Elocution); and a handful of off-stage craft and writing items finished beforehand and judged afterwards (Painting Crayon, Pencil Drawing, Hand Writing, Paper Craft). There is no debate, essay-writing, quiz or general-knowledge item anywhere on the list – a deliberate omission that distinguishes Kids Fiesta from both School Arts Festival and Literary Festival, whose age bands stretch into secondary school and adult categories.

The template ships with two age categories, Category 1 (roughly ages 0-5) and CATEGORY 2 (roughly ages 5-10), and – a genuine structural fact, not a smoothing-over – every one of the 18 items is assigned identically to both bands: the same 21-row item list repeats once per category (42 assignment rows in total), rather than narrowing or widening by age the way School Arts Festival’s team items or Literary Festival’s Elocution/Essay Writing do. The template’s own maintenance notes explain why: the item-to-group assignments were never built out in the source production this template’s items and groups were drawn from, so eTalenter applied the full list uniformly across both age bands rather than guessing at a real split.

Because it carries no external rules document and is not modelled on any single real event, a coordinator is expected to edit the installed template before opening registration: trim the item list to suit their own age split, correct the placeholder time limits and fees every row ships with, and decide which items genuinely fit their own youngest entrants. That editability is the point of a starter template – it gets a lower-primary fiesta running the same day it is installed, rather than requiring a catalogue to be built from scratch.
