Talent Test · Community Talent Show
A school talent test in Bhubaneswar, India, built from a one-page 2025 circular: Fancy Dress, Hand Writing, On the Spot Art, a written Know Your Knowledge test and Solo Dance across five class-based groups from Nursery to Class 12, with first, second and third placings.
A ready-made one-school talent test: five class groups from Nursery to Class 12, each taking its own mix of Fancy Dress, Hand Writing, On the Spot Art, a written general-knowledge test and Solo Dance, with first, second and third placings.
This template models a talent test held by one school on Children’s Day, the kind of single-campus event where pupils from nursery to the senior classes each take part in the items that suit their class. It was built from the school’s own one-page circular for 2025, which lists the groups, the items each group may enter, the day and time of each item, the registration fee and the prize arrangements. The circular is short, so the template is deliberately simple: five individual groups, five items and three placings. Rules change from year to year, so check the current circular before reusing classes, items or timings.
Groups are decided by school class, not by age. The first group takes Nursery, LKG and UKG, the second Std I to III, the third Std IV to VI, the fourth Std VII to IX and the fifth Std X to XII. Because no ages are printed, the template carries five non-overlapping placeholder age bands (3-5, 6-8, 9-11, 12-14 and 15-17) only so the platform can place entrants; the real placement is the class restriction on each group, and a coordinator should adjust the bands if the local school system differs. Every item is individual and open to both boys and girls.
Items are spread unevenly across the groups, which is the main thing to get right when setting the event up. The youngest group enters Fancy Dress only. The Std I to III group enters Fancy Dress and Hand Writing. The Std IV to VI group has the widest choice: On the Spot Art, the Know Your Knowledge test and Solo Dance. The Std VII to IX group enters Know Your Knowledge and Solo Dance, and the oldest group enters Solo Dance only. Solo Dance may be modern or classical and is held to three minutes with pre-recorded music; the template uses a single Solo Dance item and leaves the choice of style to the entrant. Know Your Knowledge is a written paper covering mathematics, science, English grammar, general knowledge and mental ability, answered on an OMR sheet, so it is set up as a written item rather than a stage quiz.
Prizes are first, second and third in each group, and every participant receives a certificate. No judging criteria, marks or grades are printed, so the placings ship with zero points and each item is installed as scored out of 100 with no criteria set; the organiser adds its own score sheet. The fee, the registration deadline, the identity-proof rule, what Art entrants must bring, the music hand-in deadline and the time slots are not structure fields and belong on the Registration Page.
Where this event is run
A school-level talent test with class-based groups, a mix of stage, written and art items, and a single set of placings per group is a familiar format for school anniversaries, Children’s Day events and inter-house days across India and in many other countries with school cultural calendars. This template follows one school’s programme in Odisha, India, and suits any school, school group or children’s cultural society that wants one day of short individual items for pupils from nursery to Class 12 without separate junior and senior festivals.

Key facts
- Five items: Fancy Dress, Hand Writing, On the Spot Art, Know Your Knowledge (KYK) and Solo Dance, all individual and open to both boys and girls
- Five groups placed by school class: Nursery-UKG, Std I-III, Std IV-VI, Std VII-IX and Std X-XII; ages are not printed, so the age bands 3-5 to 15-17 are placeholders
- Each group enters only some items: the youngest group Fancy Dress only, the oldest Solo Dance only, and Std IV-VI has the widest choice of three
- Solo Dance (modern or classical) is capped at 3 minutes with pre-recorded music; Know Your Knowledge is a written paper with an OMR answer sheet
- First, second and third placings per group with a certificate for every participant; no marks are printed, so each item is installed as /100 with no criteria
- Fee, deadline, identity-proof rule, art materials and time slots belong on the Registration Page, not in the structure
