Kerala School Sasthrolsavam – Science Fair — The Kerala School Science Fair, Item by Item

By

Academic & Youth Fair · Kerala School Sasthrolsavam

The Science Fair strand of Kerala’s state school science festival (Sasthrolsavam), run by KITE: 21 item types (Collections, Charts, Working/Still Models, Investigatory Projects, Science Quiz, Science Drama, Science Seminar, Robotics/Electronics/IOT, and more) across LP, UP, HS and HSS/VHSS levels, 44 item-group assignments. First of 5 Sasthrolsavam fairs (Science, Maths, Social Science, Work Experience, IT); each is a separate template.

Sets up the science fair of Kerala’s state school festival as a ready programme: models, projects, robotics, seminars, drama and quizzes across four school levels, with the official score sheets already loaded where the manual prints them.

The Science Fair is the first of the five fairs that make up the Kerala School Sasthrolsavam. Instead of performances, children and teachers present exhibits, experiments, projects and talks that a panel examines at the stall, with the student expected to explain every part.

This template carries the fair’s item list: Collections, Charts and Simple Experiments for the youngest children; Working Model, Still Model, Improvised Experiments, Research Type Project and Environmental Observation Presentation for the primary and middle years; and Investigatory Project, Robotics, Electronics, IoT, seminars, a science drama, an essay and a magazine for the older levels, plus quizzes and a talent search exam. Most exhibit items are team items, and the manual prints team sizes such as two children for most group items, five for the magazine and eight for the drama.

Where the manual prints a complete score sheet that totals 100, the template installs it. Working Model, Still Model, Improvised Experiments, Robotics, Electronics and IoT share one seven-line sheet; the two project items share a six-line sheet; the seminars and several others have their own. Chart and Simple Experiment are not installed because their printed marks total 95, and the quiz, talent search and the two teacher-oriented items have no table.

Check the installed programme against the current year’s circular before opening registration, because the official list is revised from year to year.

Can I change this template after installing it?

Yes — installing it creates a fully configured, live event, not a locked package. Every age group, competition item, rule and scoring setting can be edited afterwards to match exactly what your event actually needs.

Do I need technical knowledge to set this up?

No. Installing a template does the setup work for you; you only need to review the details (dates, unit or house names) and open registration.
