Sets up a youth performing arts championship from Malaysia – five dance styles each run as solo and group across eight age bands, plus solo ukulele in two age groups, scored on choreography, musicality and movement – so a coordinator starts from the printed structure instead of a blank page.
This template models a youth performing arts championship that runs as a series of stage competitions in several countries and feeds a grand final in Kuala Lumpur, scheduled for 6 to 10 November 2026. Its programme is built around dance and one instrument. Five dance styles are carried as items – Traditional Dance, Ballet Dance, Modern Dance (hip hop and jazz), K-POP Dance and Contemporary Dance – alongside two ukulele items, Ukulele Fingerstyle and Ukulele Strum and Sing. Latin and Ballroom Dance appears in the published programme but is left out of the template, because its eligibility is only given through a registration form.
Every dance style is entered both as a solo and as a group, and each is split across the same eight age bands: U6, U8, U10, U12, U14, U16, U18 and Open age. The template reads U as “under”, so U6 covers ages up to 5, U8 covers 6 to 7, and so on up to U18 for 16 to 17, with Open open to any age; if your organiser counts the bands from a cut-off date, adjust them before opening registration. That gives sixteen age groups for dance – eight solo and eight group – and each dance item is offered in every one of them, with a three-minute limit for solos and five minutes for groups, the printed maximums. The ukulele items are solo only, in two groups: Group A for ages 7 to 9 and Group B for ages 10 to 12, each with a three-minute limit.
All five dance items share one scoring scheme out of 100: Choreography carries 40 marks, Musicality and Rhythm 20, and Movement and Performance 40, and the template installs those criteria on each dance item. The two ukulele items ship without criteria. The printed ukulele weights add up to 145 rather than 100, and the template does not change a printed weight to force a total, so a coordinator should settle the panel’s own criteria for those items before the day.
Results use named awards rather than a numbered league table. The template carries six trophy awards in their printed order – Platinum, Diamond, Elite Gold, Golden, Silver and Bronze – with no bonus points, because none are printed. The published programme also mentions a Special Award for three winners, a lower minimum duration, a group size of two to twenty dancers and scholarship recommendations; the platform has no field for these, so they stay with the organiser’s own rules.

Youth dance and performing arts championships of this kind are held in Malaysia and in several other countries as qualifying legs, with the best entries going forward to a single grand final. The same shape – solo and group entries in every age band, one scoring scheme across styles and named awards at the end – is common in dance competitions and festivals worldwide.
