Diamond Dance Challenge (Victoria, Australia) 2026 information pack: 24 event types – solos in 13 styles, vocal solos, improvisations, duos/trios/quads and troupes by age division, style and vocal championships and the Diamond Dancer title from Mini to Senior, with trophies and medals for 1st to 3rd and highly commended.
A ready-made studio dance and vocal competition for children and young people: thirteen solo styles across seven age divisions, vocal solos, improvisations, duos, trios, quads and troupes, then style championships and a six-level title.
This template sets up a multi-day studio dance and vocal competition, built from one Victorian (Australian) series’ 2026 information pack, read in full. It has 24 items. Thirteen are solo dance styles: Jazz, Broadway Jazz/Musical Theatre, Neo Classical, Classical, Demi Character, Tap, Lyrical, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Acrobatics, Song and Dance/Tap, Open Style and Own Choreography. Alongside them sit Vocal Solo, two improvisations (Jazz and Lyrical), three group-only entries (Broadway Jazz, Neo/Lyrical and Classical/Neo), and the top level: Jazz, Lyrical/Contemporary, Tap and Vocal Championships plus the Diamond Dancer Title. Every item has its own page on this site with the printed age divisions, time limit and placings.
Entries are placed by age, counted as at 1 January 2026, and the age divisions differ by entry type. Solos and improvisations run in seven divisions, 4 and 5, 6 and 7, 8 and 9, 10 and 11, 12 and 13, 14 and 15 and an Open Age. Vocal solos use their own cumulative divisions that start at 7 and under. The three style championships and the vocal championship use three bands, 9 and under, 13 and under and 14 and over, and a dancer must already have competed in the solo section for that style, with no routine repeated. The Diamond Dancer Title has six levels, Mini, Petite, Junior, Pre Teen, Teen and Senior, and a dancer needs two solo sections in the age group. Duos, trios and quads (six divisions) and troupes (eight divisions, from 5 and under to Open Age) enter by average age, and the pack lets the organiser combine sections when entries are low. The printed labels are cumulative, so the template installs them as consecutive, non-overlapping age bands and the coordinator adjusts the ends.
The pack prints time limits but no scoring. Solos, duos, trios, quads, championships and the title are 3 minutes, with 4 minutes for Song and Dance/Tap and for Tap, vocal solos are 3 minutes and troupes are 5 minutes; improvisations print no limit. Placings are first, second and third plus highly commended, with trophies for solos, medals and ribbons for groups and sashes and a tiara for the title winner. Because no marks, criteria or points are printed, the template installs none: First, Second, Third and Highly Commended carry zero points and each entry defaults to a mark out of 100 that the coordinator can change. Which styles run in which age division is also not printed, so every printed style is installed in every matching division and the coordinator removes what the event does not run.
Things the platform has no field for stay in the registration content the coordinator publishes: entry and registration fees, music submission and change fees, the one-teacher side-stage rule, the rule that a competitor appears once per section and the special awards in each final programme. Rules change between seasons, so check the current edition before reusing groups or time limits.

Dance eisteddfods and studio challenges that run solo, group and championship days over a season are a long-established format in Australia, where schools, studios and independent dancers enter by age and style and compete for placings, trophies and title levels. This template follows one Victorian series’ 2026 rules and suits any studio, eisteddfod or regional dance competition that wants solos in many styles, vocal and improvisation sections, groups by average age and a championship and title pathway in one structure, without hand-building the groups and timings.
