Kalotsavam · School Kalotsavam
A diocese’s online cultural meet for its Catholic schools in Tripura: fancy dress for Little Champs and Sub Junior, and drawing and painting for Junior, Senior and Super Senior, with boys and girls judged separately.
A ready-made schools meet with two competitions: fancy dress for the youngest two groups and artwork for the oldest three, in five class-based groups with boys and girls ranked separately in each.
This template models an annual cultural meet for the schools of one religious school network in Tripura, India, built from the meet’s own online edition guide for its fancy dress and artwork competitions. Only those two competitions are printed in the source, so the template carries only those two; the games part of the meet and its other events are not included. Rules are reprinted each year, so check the current circular before you reuse the structure for a later edition.
Entrants are grouped by class, not by age: Little Champs (Classes I-II), Sub Junior (III-V), Junior (VI-VIII), Senior (IX-X) and Super Senior (XI-XII). The source prints no ages, so the template uses placeholder age bands of 5-7, 8-10, 11-13, 14-15 and 16-18 and attaches the class to each group as its restriction. A coordinator should therefore check each entrant’s class rather than their age. Boys and girls compete separately in every group, which gives two assignments per group and competition.
Fancy Dress is for Little Champs and Sub Junior. Little Champs may choose any topic, while Sub Junior chooses between the COVID-19 pandemic, a national hero or nature. It is held in English, and each entry is a still photograph with a short video of one to two minutes. Artwork: Drawing/Painting is for Junior, Senior and Super Senior. Each group picks one theme from the list printed for its group and submits an original piece on A4 paper, chart or canvas, with a video of the making. Only one entry per person is allowed, and the piece must be the entrant’s own work.
The source names its judging criteria but prints no marks for them: Costume, Creativity, Theme based and Presentation for Fancy Dress, and Relevance, Creativity, Visual Impact, Originality and Colour Harmony for Artwork. Because no marks are printed, the template installs no judging criteria, grades or ranks, and each competition keeps a default maximum of 100 marks. Your panel can agree its own weighting on those named criteria and eTalenter ranks the entries within each group from the mark the judges give.
Where this event is run
This template suits a school network, a district or a diocese-style cluster of schools that wants an arts meet split by class, with a dress-up competition for the youngest children and a drawing and painting competition for older pupils. It also fits any contest run online, where entrants send a photograph or artwork together with a short video and the judges mark from the submissions. The meet’s rules that the platform has no field for, such as submission by email with the entrant’s details in the subject line, the closing date, the rule against late entries, the placard rules for Fancy Dress and disqualification for not following the rules, are kept as registration-page rules rather than enforced by the software, so publish them with your entry instructions.
