An inter-college cultural competition for university students in India: solo singing, solo and duet instrumental, solo act, stand-up comedy and a fusion group dance, with printed time limits and judging criteria.

A ready-made inter-college cultural programme: solo singing, solo and duet instrumental, solo act, stand-up comedy and group dance, each marked out of 100 with the printed time limits. Built for a university fest where every college sends entries to the same stage.

This template models the cultural competitions of an Indian university fest, built from the organiser’s own published rules for the 2025 edition, which ran over two days at the end of October. It carries six events: Solo Singing, Solo Instrumental, Duet Instrumental, Solo Act, Stand-Up Comedy and Group Dance. Four are individual events and two are team events (a duet and a group dance). The rules call the events by their own festival names; the template uses the plain performance types so the same structure can be reused for another year or another college fest.

Entry is open to students of colleges, and the rules print no ages, years of study or classes. The template therefore uses a working placeholder of 17 to 30 for college students, in two groups: a Solo group for the four individual events and a Team group for the duet and the dance. Boys and girls are not separated. The rules also print no places, ranks or prize amounts (cash prizes and the number of prizes depend on the number of entries), so none are modelled; an organiser sets the placing rule that suits the day.

Time limits and marks follow the printed rules. Solo Singing is three minutes; Solo Instrumental, Duet Instrumental, Solo Act and Stand-Up Comedy are four minutes each; Group Dance is five minutes, and Solo Act and Group Dance also allow two minutes of set-up. Judging criteria are printed as percentages and are used as marks out of 100: Solo Singing is vocal quality and pitch control 60, creativity 20 and stage presence 20; Duet Instrumental, Solo Act, Stand-Up Comedy and Group Dance each carry four criteria. Solo Instrumental has no criteria of its own, because the document prints one list for the instrumental category that includes a coordination mark that only applies to duets.

Several rules sit outside the structure because the platform has no field for them: the cap of two entries per college (two groups for the dance), one entry per participant, a group size of four to twelve for the dance, the pre-submitted music or video file, the sound check, and disqualification for overrunning the time limit. They are carried as registration-page content so entrants see them. An organiser running a single round sets up one event; one running a multi-day fest can run all six on the same event with the same judges.

Where this event comes from

The structure follows the organiser’s own published rules for the 2025 edition of the fest’s cultural competitions.

Where this event is run

Run in India as inter-college cultural competitions within a university fest, with each college sending a limited number of entries per event. Solo singing, instrumental, solo acting, stand-up comedy and group dance are the standard cultural events of university and college fests across India, so the template can be reused for other campus festivals.

Frequently asked questions

Can I change this template after installing it?

Yes — installing it creates a fully configured, live event, not a locked package. Every age group, competition item, rule and scoring setting can be edited afterwards to match exactly what your event actually needs.

Do I need technical knowledge to set this up?

No. Installing a template does the setup work for you; you only need to review the details (dates, unit or house names) and open registration.
