The Division of Bohol (Philippines DepEd) culture and arts competitions for 2018-2019: Flute and Ukulele Ensemble, Guitar Ensemble, Sayawit, the teachers’ Kuradang Dance Contest and Culture Mapping, with the printed 100-mark criteria for all five.
A ready-made culture and arts competition for a provincial schools division: a flute and ukulele ensemble for elementary learners, a guitar ensemble and a sung-and-danced folk piece for secondary learners, and two teacher team events, a folk street dance and a culture-mapping project with an exhibit. Every event is a team entry, and the printed 100-mark criteria are installed for all five.
This template models a division-level culture and arts competition from the Philippines, built from the organiser’s own printed guidelines for one school year. It carries five events across three groups. Elementary learners enter the Flute and Ukulele Ensemble. Secondary learners enter the Guitar Ensemble and Sayawit, a piece in which the team sings Visayan folk songs and dances at the same time. Teachers enter the Kuradang Dance Contest, a street-dance style piece for male-female pairs, and Culture Mapping, a project-and-exhibit event. Every event is a team entry, open to both genders, and the template sets the language to Any/NA.
The format is a ladder. Events are first competed at district level, the winners go on to the division level, and the division winners represent the division at higher levels. Winners from previous school years may still take part. The template covers the division-level event itself, so a coordinator running the district round can reuse the same classes and simply register fewer teams.
Team sizes and time limits are printed per event. The two ensembles take 15 to 20 performers plus one teacher-coach who conducts, with 5 to 7 minutes including entrance and exit. Sayawit takes 5 to 7 performers, not counting instrumentalists, for 3 to 6 minutes with no props. Kuradang takes 4 to 5 male-female pairs with no props. Culture Mapping is one team of five members and a coach from each municipality. In the timed events, 5 points are deducted for every excess minute. The template installs the maximum minutes (7 for the ensembles and 6 for Sayawit) and keeps the deduction rule, the costume rules and the required pieces in the registration rules.
All five events are scored out of 100 on the criteria the guidelines print. The ensembles weigh Repertoire 15, Musicality 40, Mastery 35 and Deportment 10. Sayawit weighs Theme Relevance 15, Performance 35, Musicality 25 and Choreography and Originality 25. Kuradang weighs Performance 40, Choreography and Originality 35, Utilization of Heritage Tradition 15 and Over-all Impact 10. Culture Mapping is split into a portfolio worth 50 and a cultural exhibit worth 50. The guidelines print no ages, ranks, grades or prizes, so the three age bands are placeholders (6 to 12, 13 to 18 and 22 to 65) that a coordinator should set to the real ones.
Where this event is run
Culture and arts competitions that move from district to division to higher levels are a regular part of the school year in the Philippines, where schools divisions run their own programmes of music ensembles, folk dance and heritage projects for learners and teachers. The same pattern of ensemble, folk-dance and heritage-project classes appears in school and community festivals elsewhere, but this template reflects one provincial programme, so its theme, required pieces and event list describe that programme only. Organisers outside the Philippines would normally keep the structure and swap the repertoire and costume rules for their own.

Key facts
- Five team events: Flute and Ukulele Ensemble (elementary learners), Guitar Ensemble and Sayawit (secondary learners), Kuradang Dance Contest and Culture Mapping (teachers)
- Ensembles take 15 to 20 performers plus a teacher-coach as conductor, 5 to 7 minutes including entrance and exit; Sayawit takes 5 to 7 performers (instrumentalists extra) for 3 to 6 minutes
- All five events are scored out of 100; the ensembles use Repertoire 15, Musicality 40, Mastery 35 and Deportment 10
- Culture Mapping is a portfolio (50) plus a cultural exhibit (50), entered as one team of five and a coach per municipality
- Timed events lose 5 points for every excess minute; that rule, the costume rules and the required pieces are kept as registration rules
- No ages are printed, so the age bands (6-12, 13-18, 22-65) are placeholders for the coordinator to set; ranks, grades and prizes are not printed either

Frequently asked questions
Can I change this template after installing it?
Yes — installing it creates a fully configured, live event, not a locked package. Every age group, competition item, rule and scoring setting can be edited afterwards to match exactly what your event actually needs.
Do I need technical knowledge to set this up?
No. Installing a template does the setup work for you; you only need to review the details (dates, unit or house names) and open registration.
