Parents ask the same questions before every competition: which age group is my child in, which items can they enter, when is it, what are the rules? The new Registration Page answers all of that on one public web page for your event — competitions, age groups, schedule, rules and judging criteria, venue, news and questions — with the Register button right there. It works on a phone as well as on a laptop, and nobody needs to log in to read it.

Already covered elsewhere on this site
This page is about the Registration Page itself. Related ground has its own pages:
- Setting up the registration form and its fields — see online competition registration.
- Publishing results online — see how to publish competition results online.
- Placings or grades — see placings vs grades.
What visitors see
The page has one address, built from your event’s name, and a row of tabs:
- Overview — the event header with dates, venue and a countdown, today’s (or the next) sessions, the latest results podium, competition categories, news, venue, documents to download, an About section with a video, “Register in 3 easy steps”, important dates, prizes, a photo strip and common questions.
- Competitions — every competition as a card with its age groups, time limit and number of participants. Visitors can search, filter by category, sort, and pick an age group from the tabs at the top (all age groups are shown first). A table lists every age group with the birth dates it covers.
- Each competition’s own page — its description, a table of age groups with birth dates, time limit, fee and a Register button, its schedule, its results, the judging criteria with marks, and the rules that apply to it — the ones for every competition first, then the ones for its age group, for individual or team entries, or for this competition alone.
- Schedule — day by day, with the stage, age group and time of each competition, a calendar, and filters by category, age group and stage.
- Results — the results you publish online, appearing as soon as you publish them.
- Rules & Criteria — the rules for all competitions, each marked with who it is for, then the rules of each competition, the judging criteria table and documents to download.
- News & Updates, Venue (with a map), Gallery and FAQ.

On a phone and on the web
Most parents open the link from a WhatsApp message, so the page is built for the phone first. The tabs become a grid of large buttons, cards stack one under another, tables turn into easy-to-read lists, and nothing slides off the side of the screen. On a laptop the same page spreads out: the tabs sit in one row, the competition cards sit three across and the registration card stays beside the content.

Registering from the page
The Register button works the same way as your event’s public registration form — nothing new to learn. The parent creates an account, then adds each participant by hand: the personal details and the date of birth, then the competitions and, if your event takes payment, the payment. The age group is set from the date of birth, so the parent never has to pick it.
After signing up, the parent sees all their participants in one list, each with its status (waiting for approval, or not submitted yet). Add New Participant opens the form in a pop-up on the same page. When the parent finishes, or saves for later, the pop-up closes and they are back on the list. Edit on a draft, or View on a submitted one, opens that participant in the same way, so a parent registering several children can move between them easily — on a phone as well as on the web.
Once the parent has registered, the Log in and Register buttons at the top of the page are replaced by a button with their name. Its menu has My participants, which opens the list again, and Log out. Logging in later takes the parent straight to their own event’s registration page, and the eTalenter logo opens My Registrations, a page that lists every event they registered for.

How a coordinator sets it up
You build the page the same way you build your registration form: pick a component, drop it on the page, set what it shows. There are no separate on and off switches — a component is on the page when it is on the tab, and a tab with nothing on it is not on the page.
- Write the rules. Open Competition Rules (in the setup menu, after ID Card Config) and click Add Rules. Choose who the rules are for: all competitions, one competition, one age group, or individual or team entries — the same way you choose who a grade applies to in Scoring Setup. A choice you leave on All means everyone, so rules with every choice on All apply to every competition. You write each rule in one editor with ready-made sections: Full outline, About, Time and format, Rules, Allowed, Not allowed, Judging and Notes. Add the ones you need, replace the example lines with your own and delete the rest — what is left is what visitors see. You can also add a rules document. For one whole competition you can add tags, a picture and a video link, or hide it from the public page. Each competition’s page then shows the rules that fit it: a rule for the Junior age group appears only on competitions that have a Junior age group, and a rule for team entries only on team competitions.
- Open Registration Page (under Public Registration). Page Settings is the first step and works like the others: drop the Page Header, Registration, Tips Beside the Form, Contact Details and Footer Text components and fill them in. The preview shows the real header, so you see the result as you type. Anything you leave empty is filled from your event — the header uses your event’s name and description, the footer names the event and its organisers — and contact details you leave empty are simply not shown.
- Build each tab. The tabs are in a row under the poster: Overview, Competitions, Schedule, Rules & Criteria, News & Updates, Venue, Gallery and FAQ. Every tab starts with its ready-made components, so the page is complete before you change anything. A tab is made of separate parts, so you can remove the ones you do not need: the Competitions tab has a title, an intro banner, the competition list, an age group table and a help box; the News, Venue, Gallery and FAQ tabs each have their own title, and the Gallery has its video apart from the photos. Drag a component from the top of the tab onto the page, or select one and click Delete to take it off. On the Overview you can also choose where each component sits: left column, right column, half width or full width.
- Set what a component shows. Select it and use the settings under it: write a title, add news items, questions, steps, photos or documents, and put them in order. Headings, paragraphs, pictures, document links and your event’s name, date and venue are available on every tab.
- Click Save on each tab you changed (the editor asks before you leave a tab with unsaved changes). Reset to Defaults brings the ready-made components back.
- Click Publish, then Copy Link and share it.
- After you change competitions, age groups or the schedule, click Update Event Data so the page shows the new details.

Competitions, age groups with birth dates, fees, time limits, judging criteria and the schedule come straight from your event — you do not type them twice. Visitors see the page on a phone and on the web; build it on a computer, where drag and drop works. On a wide screen the components are on the left and the settings open on the right of the selected component; on a narrower screen they sit above and below it. Once the page is published, a saved change is live straight away.

What it does not do
- It does not open or close registration by itself. The Register button works only while your event’s registration form is switched on, and closes after the last date you enter.
- It does not show results until you publish them online.
- It does not show a rule on a competition it does not fit. A rule for team entries is left off an individual competition, and a rule for one age group is left off a competition that has no such age group.
- It does not list participants’ names, except in results you choose to publish.
- Changes to competitions or the schedule do not appear on their own — click Update Event Data (or Publish Again).
- Prizes, certificates and fees differ per event, so the page shows only what you enter for them.
Questions organisers ask
Do parents need an account to read the page?
No. Anyone with the link can read every tab. An account is needed only to register.
What is the page’s address?
It is built from your event’s name, so the name must be different from your other active events. The Registration Page screen shows the address and a Copy Link button.
How do I hide a part of the page?
Select the component on its tab, click Delete and then Save. To hide a whole tab, clear it with Remove All and save — a tab with nothing on it is not on the page. Reset to Defaults brings the ready-made components back.
Can I take the page offline?
Yes. Take Offline removes the address. Your content stays, so you can publish it again later.
