Talent Test · Community Talent Show
Clackamas County Fair (Oregon) Talent Search 2026: solo and group talent acts of up to 5 minutes in Children’s (5-9), Youth (10-17) and Adult (18 and older) divisions, with auditions and finals, built from the fair’s own rules.
A ready-made county fair talent search with a single open Talent Act competition, entered as a solo or a group in a Children’s division (ages 5 to 9), a Youth division (10 to 17) and an Adult division (18 and older), each act held to five minutes.
This template models a talent search run alongside a county fair in Oregon, where local performers audition for a place on the fair stage and the strongest acts return for a final. It is built from the contest’s own 2026 rules and regulations, so the three divisions, the five-minute limit and the audition-then-final structure are real, but the rules should be checked again before the template is reused for a later year.
The rules accept an act of any talent and make no distinction between a single performer and a group, so the template carries one competition, Talent Act, rather than a list of singing, dance and instrument classes. Each division is split into a Solo group (individual entries) and a Group group (team entries) as a modelling choice, giving six groups in all.
Three divisions are printed: Children’s for ages 5 to 9, Youth for ages 10 to 17 and Adult for 18 and older. The divisions do not compete against each other, and a multi-person group is placed in the division of its oldest member, so a coordinator should check each group’s eldest age when registering it. No upper age is printed for Adult, so 99 is used as a placeholder.
Acts are chosen on a printed list of selection criteria: suitability for a fair audience, whether the act can be staged at the venue, originality, creativity and overall talent, appearance, and the time limit. No marks are printed for any of these, so the template scores each act out of 100 on a single mark and ships no criteria sheet. Residency and repeat-winner rules, one act per contestant, the ban on video entries, instrument limits, prop restrictions and the prizes have no software field; publish them as written rules on the registration page if you want them followed.
Where this event is run
Talent searches are a regular part of county and state fairs across the United States, where an audition day narrows a field of local acts to a final on the fairground stage, usually with age divisions and a strict time limit. Schools, libraries and town festivals run similar shows on a smaller scale.
