By

An individual Maths Fair item at Upper Primary and above in which a student designs a mathematical game, scored out of 100 including enjoyment and creativity.

A Game entry is a playable mathematical game that the student has designed or adapted. It could be a card game that practises fractions, a board game on factors and multiples, a dice game on probability or a quiz wheel.

The game must teach or practise real mathematics while being fun. Judges give 15 marks for enjoyment value and creativity, but only alongside 30 for mathematical value and 20 for curriculum link.

Students should bring the game ready to play, with rules, a write-up and a way to keep score.
