Talent show management software runs the live, auditions-to-finals format — a “got talent” style show where contestants submit an entry, a judging panel scores each act against weighted criteria, and a live leaderboard decides who moves on. That is a different shape of event from a graded talent test (see our talent test management software page for that one): a talent show is rounds and eliminations, not age-group grading. eTalenter runs the whole thing — submissions, judge scoring, live results, ID credentials and certificates — from one platform.
Contestant registration and submissions
Contestants register through a public form — by category, age group or act type — with organiser review and approval before an entry is confirmed. An organiser can also add contestants in bulk or by Excel import for a show that doesn’t take public sign-ups. Either way, every contestant gets a chest/entry number and a printable, QR-coded ID card, so stage calling and judge scorecards always reference the same identity. See online competition registration for how entries are enforced at the form itself.
Judging rubrics built around your own criteria
You are not locked into a generic 1-10 scale. Each act is scored against criteria you define and weight yourself — for example Vocals 40, Stage Presence 30, Creativity 30 — with a maximum score, time limit and warning bell set per item. A multi-judge panel scores independently from their own phone or tablet — no app download needed, just their own login — and eTalenter totals and tabulates every score in real time. The mechanics of a fair multi-judge panel — averaging, dropping an outlier score, ranking by total — are covered in judge scoring and tabulation software.
Live results and social sharing
As judges submit scores, results update live — publish a results screen for the venue projector or stream, and push final standings to the public once a round closes. See how to publish competition results online for how that publish step works, including generated result cards sized for social media.
Unit and category coordinators
A large show run across multiple regions, schools or chapters doesn’t need one person managing every entry. Assign a sub-coordinator per unit, house or chapter — they add and review contestants and judges for their own group only, without full control over the event. At a multi-level show, a unit’s own winners are promoted upward to the next round rather than re-registered, and that round’s results roll up automatically.
ID cards and certificates, from the same platform
Contestant and judge ID cards, champion and rank certificates, and participation certificates are all generated and printed from inside eTalenter — no separate design tool, mail-merge or badge printer software needed. Customise the layout once in the built-in designer and every certificate and card after that auto-populates from the same contestant and result data. See ID card and certificate generator for the full designer walkthrough.
Frequently asked questions
Can judges score live from their own phones, with no app to install?
Yes. A judge opens a private link on any phone, tablet or laptop and scores against the criteria you set up — no app, no account creation. Scores tabulate instantly as every judge submits.
Can we print ID cards and certificates from the same software we use for judging?
Yes. Registration, judging, results and certificate/ID generation all run on the same contestant records inside eTalenter, so a name, category and placement only has to be entered once.
Can we assign coordinators to manage only their own region, school or chapter?
Yes. Sub-coordinators are scoped to their own unit — they manage that group’s contestants and judges only, while the main organiser retains full event control.
