An individual IT Fair item at Upper Primary and above in which a student types in Malayalam, combining a timed typing score with a formatting task.
Malayalam Typing tests typing speed and accuracy in Malayalam on a computer, and for older students also formatting skills.
In the Kerala School Sasthrolsavam IT Fair (ICT Mela) it is an individual item at Upper Primary, High School and Higher Secondary/VHSE, open to girls and boys. It has two parts: an auto-computed typing score (characters per minute and accuracy) and, except at Upper Primary, a judged formatting task. Upper Primary does the first part only.
Because it is a hybrid of automatic and judged scoring, it ships without a single criteria table.
Regular daily practice with the same keyboard layout is the surest preparation.
